Location is clean and service is fast and usually friendly. Food quality and portions, however, can vary a good deal depending on who is working and how fresh the meat is - it gets very dry and hard if it's been sitting out since they don't cover the bins nor submerge the meat in the braising liquid to keep it juicy.
I haven’t been to Barbacoa in years. We usually go to chipotle or cafe Rio instead. I was pleasantly surprised at how much better it was than I remembered! I loved their healthier options like brown rice and fajita vegetables. They were so yummy! I got a grilled chicken burrito and the chicken was great. Their portions of meat and fillings in the burrito were generous. I’ll be adding barbacoa into my burrito rotation!
Went here for a girls night out and it was awesome! I love that they had brown rice as an option on the menu. I also loved that the salad toppings went on top of the lettuce instead of at the bottom of the bowl.
