Bar Nico

Excellent new bar & restaurant in East Village. The chips were easily the best I’ve ever had. So simple yet elegant with the absolute perfect crunch and saltiness. (We had to get a second order) I enjoyed both the mushroom & sweet potato tacos. We topped it all off with the cheesecake & mole dessert which was as delicious as you could imagine. Also the bartender was mixing up amazing cocktails. The Oaxacan Old Fashion with mezcal was my personal favorite. (If you like mezcal and cocktails then this is the place for you) And our server was an absolute gem! What a great dining experience. Needles to say we’re definitely going back! 10/10!

I wish I took more pictures! But my hands were full with the most delicious Mexican food I’ve ever had! I could eat the pork empanadas, mushroom tacos and the dulce de leche dessert for my last meal and be 100% satisfied! Plan to share plates because they are perfect meals for that and you’ll want to try several things!! The margarita = off the charts good! Also for bourbon lovers… the bourbon drink with crème de cacao in it = fantastic!!!!! We will be back!!!

Incredible flavors and inventive menu. Great drinks. gorgeous atmosphere, and it’s so good to see this location reach its potential! Professional and personal staff. “Mexican restaurant” is not the right description.
