I use to go to this place years ago and I recently went here to see if they were just as good as they use to be and unfortunately they’ve changed a lot. The menu consists of pizza and pasta to choose from, they also offer a lunch special. My girlfriend decided to order the chicken parmigiana and I gave the chicken piccata a try. We also had fried mozzarella and calamari to start, I wanted to try there pizza so also got a pepperoni pizza Togo. I must be honest and say I was not at all satisfied with my main entree I’ve never had piccata with mushrooms, most Italian restaurants make it with wine lemon and capers. Luckily they didn’t mind replacing my dish right away with a shrimp Alfredo. I felt the calamari was a little on the salty side but ate a few. The fried mozzarella was the best part and really enjoyed the free bread they give. My pizza was okay I must admit I’ve had better from other places.
Bambinelli's is wonderful! We loved it so much! The only negative was the hostess. She was not welcoming at all, no smile. I am a retired school counselor, very used to advising young people. I quietly told her that she is the first face that customers coming into the establishment see. She must smile and appear pleasant, welcoming the guests. She must not be sullen. The management needs to train their hosts and hostesses and stress their value to the restaurant as customer service representatives.
I’ve been to this new location several times for lunch and I’ve enjoyed every visit. The garlic rolls are to die for especially when you dip them in garlic butter. The Calamari is the best I’ve ever had here in Atlanta, It’s cooked to perfection and always very fresh. I’ve been wanting to try other dishes, be that as it may I can’t get passed the delicious pizza. I love love love to order a large pepperoni sausage and mushroom pizza.
