A wonderful experience. Food was perfect, service was outstanding. Located in the Kimpton Hotel. Make sure you make reservations in advance. Had the elk. It was wonderful. Tender and savory with a berry puree that paired well without overpowering the elk. If you're afraid of eating gamey tasting elk, this was not gamey at all. Carrot puree was great too. The chocolate panna cotta, delightful. Rich chocolate throughout with toasted marshmallow on top. Nice selection of cocktails too.
Wife and I had our anniversary dinner here and the ambience of Bambara was nice and quiet. You can see the cooks in the kitchen, which was smack in the middle of the restaurant and thought that was cool. Bone marrow starter was something I was anticipating and it did not disappoint. My wife had their popular filet mignon which she said was the best she ever had. My salmon dish was delicious and presentation was top notch.
I thought the food and drink were absolutely exquisite. Until I got the bill. I know it’s a nice place, but $400 for 3 people is pretty steep. You can get the same quality food and a better atmosphere at Log Haven for less money. Not sure if I’d go again. Dine in: Yes … More
