I have eaten Bal-Hai for years since the original restaurant in Raleigh that burnt down. I came to know the owner and his son well. I didn't know there is a Bli-Hai in Morrisville literally in my backyard. I will be there for dinner Monday (I no longer have to drive to Durham to fix my cravings). Those with low ratings need to know the right combination of sauces and heat. I like D Combination with 7 or 8 heat with extra sauce.
The host and cook are usually polite to me and accommodating if I come in close to closing time, but the last two times I've gone in, the price of what I normally get went from 15-16 dollars to almost 24. This is because they started adding a metric ton of rice to your bowl to spike the price up (based on weight.) Honestly this just seems scummy and left a bad taste in my mouth so I won't be returning or recommending this place.
Amazing food!!!! Truly the best Mongolian in the triangle and the original. It’s the sauce that sets them apart. Plus local owners. Fresh cut vegetables and meet, exceptional value
