Bala Thai Kitchen

Across the street from the Bala theater is a small Thai restaurant that's absolutely worth your time to check out. Yes, you'll find classic Thai soups, but try the Gulf of Thailand soup. Perfectly tender seafood in a rich spicy broth. The green curry is excellent as is lemongrass chicken. You'll also find a variety of vegetarian dishes. Combine excellent food with excellent service and you have a winner. The only challenge may be parking.

Hidden Gem! This place was an unexpected treat! Having dinner with two of my adult children, I just wanted a place that was quiet and had decent food. What we found was amazing food and great service. This Thai food was as good as any expensive, high-end downtown restaurant without the high-end price and without the crowd. In fact, we ended up having the whole place to ourselves – though business seemed to be booming with take-out orders! All of our food was delicious and well-presented! I highly recommend!

My husband and I stopped by this wonderful Thai bistro last night. We had great dinner with lovely vibe here. Food is tasty, and would come back to try other dishes soon.
