Bagels & A Whole Lot More

I have been coming here for years. Today I ordered 2 dozen bagels and a 1/4 lb of cream cheese. The total was $46. I was a bit stunned and asked how much a dozen bagels were. The girl at the counter started getting annoyed and responded $16 a dozen but the rainbow bagels are $1.50 extra each. Not only is that NOT indicated anywhere, but I wasn’t told it when I was selecting my bagels. I nicely said to the girl, I wish you would’ve told me. Instead of apologizing, she started telling me they have to hand roll them. That’s fine, and they’re perfectly welcome to charge whatever they want for them. However, the right thing to do is let customers know there is an additional charge. I proceeded to ask her to swap 1/2 of them out with regular egg bagels, which annoyed her more. I was just really surprised and bothered by this entire exchange. If you are buying bagels, be aware of the extra charges!

Food service was super quick. Would have liked a little more salmon for the price of the platter and the coffee was horrible and flavorless. The staff was so busy they didn’t seem to be able to make the time for actual customer service. I understand being busy but you need to staff accordingly. Visited for breakfast on Saturday morning. If more salmon was offered and the coffee tasted better they’d have gotten a better review. If you’re looking for a great salmon platter Remdez Vous on Rte 84 is definitely worth the trip! These guys could stand to learn something about portion offerings from Rendezvous Vous.

I don't usually leave negative reviews on restaurants (only good ones)..I just simply don't go back. I see by reading some reviews I'm not the only person disappointed with the service at bagels and a whole lot more. I understand that there are new owners. All I can say to the new owners you need to teach your employees how to respect your customers..standing behind the counter and yelling at customers to close the doors is not only disrespectful but rude... You should be grateful you have enough customers where you have long lines all the way out of your establishment.. this isn't the only time we experienced disrespect in this establishment.. you know the one thing we need the most world right now is some kindness... Kindness goes a long way!
