Excellent service. Nice atmosphere. She really liked the salmon. My NY Strip was good, not quite cooked as much as I wanted but close. It was also huge, way over 16 oz, so a nice value on special. They have valet, but we parked on the street nearby (for free after 5PM).
How wonderful to visit Bacchus in a post-pandemic world. A long time favorite enhanced even further by the “new” dining room - the bar side is terrific, and wonderful for groups, albeit a bit loud. The other dining room is intimate with exquisite woodworking. Felt like we were in a New York City! Great service and well-managed pace of the courses. The Gorgonzola encrusted ribeye was a home-run. Bravo! Hope to be back soon.
-Baked oysters didn’t have an oyster flavor, and it was strange they were plated atop arugula despite being a hot dish. -Chicken liver paté had way way too much paté for the amount of hard baguette slices it came with, and arugula plated underneath the paté ramekin was amusing. -Truffle gnocchi Mac had a good flavor, but the bacon/prosciutto piece could have at least been cut. -Duck: entire dish unsalted, figs missing and honey lavender glaze seemed missing as well. -Swordfish was advertised as being crusted, but in reality it was simply topped. Entire swordfish dish was unsalted. Both main dishes were too simple in general. -Desserts were too sweet. Overall, pretty disappointing for a fine dining place and for the price. It was worth maybe half of what we paid.
