Great service, cute place. The food was so bad. I had the lemon chicken pasta. The cubed pre cooked chicken was dry and flavorless. As if it was rescued from a can of soup and rinsed. Same for the artichokes. The pasta sauce was so thin it sat in a puddle below the pasta. No cling or viscosity at all. The corkscrew pasta, famous for its sauce holding shape did not stand a chance. It was 17 dollars!!! Do not recommend.
First time at Babbo. They have an extensive menu and their bread is to die for. It is served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. My family had pizza and I had the meatball panini. Everything was delicious, but our server Hunter, made the experience exceptional. He went above and beyond, explaining the dishes, keeping on top with service during the meal and proactively brought us to go boxes. My nephew is leaving for college and Hunter is in graduate school for the same type of degree. He shared all kinds of info and insights with him. It was such a good experience, I forgot to take pics.
I wish the folks I encounter when I do take out were friendly and at least pretend they care if I want cheese or pepper packets and oil/vinegar for the bread. I definitely would step up the cash tips if they, at a minimum, provided acceptable service. 9 out of 10 times, this is my experience. I don't get it.
