A couple of dishes were excellent, the other were meh! Also, while our server was good, no one bussed the table.. we had to put the empty plates on the table next to us to make space for the upcoming dishes… it was bizarre! Coco Loco: good and creamy, very coconuty Pequeno Lorenzo: it was good but it tasted like a margarita Mia a-mora: didn’t have a strong flavor but the sage salt was amazing GYT: I am not a gin and tonic person, it was ok but not a favorite Oysters: were amazing, perfectly salty! Aguachile: it was OK, not super flavorful Puplo y chorizo: it was OK, the octopus was dry Baja bass: it was amazing, the star of the meal

Super crowded on a Tuesday night. Food, drinks, and service were good. We enjoyed a couple of the suggestions from our server and a couple of our own. The campechana and machete were both excellent.

It's one of the best upscale Mexican restaurants in Austin. ATX Cocina is a MUST if you are in town! I had an incredible experience, and I can't wait to go back when I am in town. I've noticed the tables are a perfect for large groups' dining experience. So it would be a perfect place to celebrate birthdays with friends or just have a big family dinner. Great service and ambience, not to mention the cool open kitchen. All the dishes that we ordered were very flavourful and perfectly balanced, not to mention beautifully presented. I loved their vegetarian and gluten-free options! The drinks were amazing as well, especially my margaritas!! Highly recommend making reservations. This place is always crowded, yes even on weekdays! but if you are just passing by Austin or forgot to make a reservation, the wait is WORTH it!
