We have been to Atwood a few times now. It's a great spot in downtown Chicago and open later than other places around. The food has been consistently great. Flavors are spot on. Very fresh tasting and executed perfectly. The Shrimp and Grits are amazing. The service has been really great as well but the bar consistently fails. Saturday night and they can't make cocktails but only serve beer and wine??? That's a big miss. Also have waited over 30 minutes for drinks previously. The Food is great. The tables by the windows are fun to people watch. But don't expect much for drinks or cocktails it's been multiple failures from the bar.
Not sure why the bar was closed on a Thursday night... The service was terrible. The manager kept telling me someone would come, but no one did so he ended up taking my order. The food was pretty gray. I don’t recommend the burger….Beautiful restaurant and atmosphere, but just terrible everything else. … More
Amazing food— try the Mac and cheese truffle meal! Service was also amazing. Gomez was awesome, literally 10/10. Thank you for having us so close to close!!!
