Letting a local secret out... Steak Hoagies. This may be Artone's Pizza and Subs, but the steak hoagies are what you should be ordering. I'm going to venture to say they have been around for nearly 50 years. Those of us who have been paying attention, know that includes a few years on and off that they were sadly closed. I've eaten steak hoagies from many places, including the two famous places in Philly. It's the oil. That's my answer to what makes Artone's Steak Hoagie exceptional, the oil, and that they cut the steak up so you can actually eat it instead of fighting with your sandwich.

 Nowadays, they have a place to sit down inside the restaurant (stools at a small counter facing the street) to enjoy your hoagie, but my go-to is on a bench in Cazenovia Park, regardless of the temperature outside. Great food. Great ingredients. Consistent and reasonably priced. I usually get out of there with a sandwich and a pop for under $10. Very well ran small business. Great staff. Always see the same faces which leads me to believe management takes pretty good care of their most important resource. It’s a breath of fresh air to see staff appreciate their job as well as your business.
