Must Try Dishes
When dining at Arempas in Salt Lake City, Utah, you should definitely try their signature Arepas. These Colombian-style stuffed corn cakes are out-of-this-world delicious. The Pabellon, filled with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, and cheese, should not be missed. Don't miss out on their Empanadas, another must-try which comes with choice of chicken, beef, or cheese. The Churros for dessert are also a standout - they are fried to perfection and filled with dulce de leche. For a unique experience, try Tres Leches, a traditional three-milk cake.

I loved this place. The staff was great at explaining the menu as I’m no expert in Venezuelan food. Food was delicious. These are flavors I’m not accustomed to but I loved that. I loved the corn flavors, the plantains, the flavor of the meat. Great place. A little on the high priced side probably because of its location downtown.
We went to Arempas in Midvale on a Saturday afternoon around 3. Overall impressions: clean, nice decor, fun music. The service was pretty good. We we seated in an empty area, the other side kept getting all the patrons. The waiter showed up 5-10 minutes later and we asked about the menu as it’s our first time. He was very knowledgeable; I ordered the pabellon arepa. It’s a fried corn meal biscuit thing cut open filled with meat, cheese and sweet plaintains. Definitely a new taste combo for me, it’s a good thing! Great taste, just wish the filling was more evenly distributed and the shell was pretty tough to eat. Messy too. My husband chose the fried pork and cheese cachapa. I tried it, the pork was almost too crispy but tasty; the corn pancake part is pretty sweet, my husband liked it a lot. Overall, a good experience. I have a gluten intolerance and loved that almost all the menu is gluten free. We will be back!
Someone recommended this place to me while my stay at Salt Lake City, the staff was friendly the pabellon areas was good and if you add some house sauce it'll taste even better. The size was a good size. I was very hungry, so I ate 2 of them with my favorite juice, maracuya juice, "passion fruit juice " I will come back to this place again if I travel back to Utah again
