Archie's Bar-B-Q & Burgers

First time here and I loved it. The atmosphere is fun and retro. The service is experienced and quick. BBQ is such a personal choice. I wasn’t fond of their sauce but the meat was good quality. I won’t order that next time. I will be back to try their hamburger!

In Hoover/Birmingham for work and a coworker from the area took us to Archie's. The barbecue pork was incredibly flavorful and had a delicious, tangy sauce that will be in my dreams for forever and a day. The staff welcomed us with smiles and patience as I geeked out on the brick oven and authentic, aged diner vibe straight out of a Food Network show. I ordered a plate of pork barbecue with choice of baked beans and a sweet and sour cole slaw. On advice from my coworker, I got the pork sliced (instead of chopped) with half of it inside meat and half the burnt ends. It was a meal that my taste buds will remember for decades to come.

What a great place for lunch! While shopping in Birmingham, we stopped at Archie's for lunch. A popular place for their burgers (and I personally concur), they also make great bar-b-que. We were greeted and served with a friendly staff and service was great. We will definitely stop in again soon because we were too full to try the homemade fried pies ???? (To the owner: We live in Prattville)
