Applebee's Grill + Bar

The landscaping was mostly weeds. The floor was sticky. The restaurant was dirty, probably because they were understaffed. The regional manager should be doing their job and visiting the restaurants in their areas. We just had a drink at the bar and went elsewhere. I am surprised this place is even open. Maybe the Joliet health inspector should do a surprise visit here as well as a regional manager and bring this place up to par. Also in the men's restroom the GFCI outlet was hanging out of the wall.

Place had tons of open tables but the hostess told us it was a 45 minute wait!!! Then we went to our car and called in and was told there is no wait because they were pretty empty. I asked why I was told it was 45 minutes and couldn’t get a clear answer. So bummed because we loved it here. Went across the street to TGIF and they sat us right away and were happy to take our money!!!

The whole entire front of the building's landscaping was weeds! Right by the door, no joke. When asking manager for napkins I was given options, cocktail napkins or the "folded brown ones," they use to clean the tables. I opted for the folded brown ones? I thought I was on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares sadly. Server was nice and apologetic.
