Angelo's Taverna - Littleton

I’ve been to Angelo’s in Cap Hill and the food has always been delicious. But the Littleton location did not meet expectations. We waited 1.5 hours to be seated which we didn’t mind because Carboy is next door. After we were seated and ordered our appetizers and meal at the same time , the appetizers came out it 3 minutes warm/cold as if it was sitting. The Brussels were boiled not roasted and not seasoned (see picture). 3-4 minutes later our entrees came out and we were floored, how can 3 very different entrees with multiple components be cooked so quickly in an at-capacity restaurant. My chicken parm was overcooked and the pasta was WAY over. It looked like a meal I would get out of the freezer section. Horrible experience. The entire meal felt like an afterthought and food quality was really poor. My friends were all equally as unhappy.

The atmosphere and patio are really nice, but the food and service are so-so. The inside dining room is pretty loud. It is attached to the Carboy Winery, so you can sit in the winery and have a drink while you wait for your table. Let's talk about the food, though. First, the soft drinks were watered down, and the kids said they tasted like dish water. I ordered the Italian salad and mussels with linguini. Immediately, the mussels smelled a little fishy and tasted off. Although one person at my party said they tasted ok. The linguini that came with was hard and starchy. I sent it back, which I really try not to do, but there was no way I was going to eat it. I just ordered a side of spaghetti and marinara instead, which I liked. We ordered the ribs and toasted ravioli for the app, which we also liked. However, the shrimp scampi was not good. The sauce was also watered down and bland. We would come here again, but we would probably just stick to apps and drinks.

Ultra super overrated place!! Stay away if you want real yummy italian food. For starters this is 100% american-italian food just like Olive Garden but way worse: dirty, expensive, slow... value for money is unexistant. I don't understand the hype and good reviews about this place but if you have an exquisite palate like me, dont get fooled by this culinary trap. Features: None
