American Way Smokehouse

This place has been here since 1952. It is the coolest place ever. They have so many cool antiques from fine china, comics, old school signs, clothes, pictures, rocks, native American pots, knifes, sculptures. jewelery, beads, bikes. You could literally spend a couple hours walking up and down all the isles!! The even have old fashion candy!! They even have a restaurant with salads, sandwiches and smoked ribs. Pulled pork. A TON of old school root beer from all over the united States. I didn't get a chance to eat there this time but it is literally 4 minutes from my house so I will definitely be going back. Such a fun place to walk around and explore!! You can see it from the road and it is always packed so I recommend going early in the morning to beat the crowd. Check out my videos and pictures!!

We have went here for the Beef Brisket sandwiches, which were always delicious, but then they raised their prices way up, and we stopped going as much. We finally returned yesterday, and they were out of the beef brisket by 2 pm (which is the reason we went), and so we bought the beef smoked tri-tip sandwich instead. What a huge disappointment! For $13 we got a normal size sandwich on bread with nothing included, no chips, no side, and the beef was rubbery and tasteless. Very poor quality. It did not taste smoked, either. For every bite I literally had to pull the sandwich in order to get the meat to come apart in order to chew it. I am not sure if they changed the quality of the meat due to inflation, but without that same quality of meat, there is no reason for us to return. Very disappointed.

Excellent smoked meats and prepared food. The desserts are always fresh and so tasty. Staff goes the extra mile and is always beyond kind! They also have bottled sodas that are fun to try. It's a favorite date spot for us to grab some food and browse the antique store attached to it.
