American Kolache

Awesome! We have been multiple times since it opened. Enjoyed the friendly staff and of course the kolaches! Personal favorites Sausage & Gravy and the Cinnamon Rolls. Makes me crave one just talking about them, lol.

So bummed. I anticipated the opening of American Kolache, and finally got to try it today. Dough tastes like day-old bagel - dry and chewy. Kolaches are not kept in warming oven like at Shipley, but they will gladly microwave it up for you. I tried 2 - took a bite of each and tossed them. I really wanted this place to be good.

Chad Slade is very near and dear to my heart! Great people, so when he told me he opened up a restaurant I knew I had to get there! In a world now where service seems to be a foreign concept these folks do it right! I’ve only been once before moving out of state and I wish I still lived there so I could eat breakfast at American Kolache it reminds me of Slovacheks in San Antonio if anyone reading has been there. Great selection of food (savory and sweet) better service from the lovely ladies in the front to my brother from another owning the operation! And if you’re lucky you’ll get to hang with the coolest little dude Chad’s son Braxton! Long story short, get over to American Kolache in Vestavia! You won’t be disappointed!
