Algonquin Sub Shop

Algonquin Sub Shop is always top notch! The Al Capone is by far my favorite sub on the menu. The food is fresh and made to order with quality ingredients. The staff is always courteous and welcoming. You also can't go wrong with the home made chili and soups!

Still one of the best places around! The Al Capone is the best! Service was a little slow and the cashier seemed like she would rather be somewhere else but hat doesn't matter as the food is why I go there.

I live very close by but I haven't been there in a very long time and it was a very poor experience and I don't usually expound on these things. However, there was a man probably the only owner taking orders. It was $11 and change for a beef sandwich. I stood there for probably about 20 minutes and then I asked if they had forgotten about me and he said they only had one person making sandwiches. The fellow removed the beef from a container. Put it on the grill then poured some juice on it. I brought this home to my son and it was so dry. It was simply awful and my son never has complained about anything like this. The menu is extensive, but if this is an example it wouldn't be worth eating. Anything else there. Decades ago I owned a fast food place just like this slightly larger in Chicago Northwest side. My husband and I were owners and we did have employees but we knew exactly how to make the sandwiches that we had created. This husband and wife were not hands-on. Was very disappoin
