I had high hopes for this place because it’s so close to our neighborhood. Here’s my honest opinion… the rolls were ok. The Shaggy Dog roll was actually pretty tasty. What really ruined the experience overall from the beginning was their ginger. Their ginger is very dry, lacking flavor, and honestly not good at all. If they changed that then this restaurant would be 3 star material. Akashi invest in better ginger.
The food & service was great! The staff was friendly and very helpful about ensuring that my wife’s meal was made gluten-free due to her allergy. I highly recommend this location.
