My hubby and I tried Israeli food for the first time. Wow, food was amazing! Rebecca, our server, was spectacular. All the staff were very attentive and efficient. I see that there’s teamwork here. It is a Prix Fixe Menu $60 per person. Which is reasonable for what they serve. I ordered chicken liver mouse (YUM!) for my appetizer, salmon with yellow wax beans for my entree, and pavlova for dessert. This was all good. Presentation was superb. I didn’t get to take any pics of our entrees an desserts bc the food was inviting. ???? My hubby order, fries latkes for appetizer, Montreal short rib for entree and he had pavlova, as well. Never had latkes like that. So good! The Montreal short rib, melts in your mouth. The cabbage that came with it was delicious. The challah bread that we had with all the little side dishes were delicious. The pavlova is the best we’ve ever had. The lemon curd and with fig marry so well together and the meringue was made to perfection. That alone is a 5 star???
What a gem and great experience! Relaxed atmosphere with delicious food that has incredible depth of flavor and is beautifully presented. The staff elevate the experience by being well versed on the menu and ingredients while being attentive and friendly.
After living in Philadelphia for 4+ years it sucks that I've only gotten to visit this restaurant once I moved. It was wonderful. The food is great and really fills a different sort of niche in Philly. The restaurant itself is cool and sleek and our waiter was awesome. Super knowledgeable with the menu, attentive, and also just seemed like an incredibly nice dude. I'm so bummed it's closing - it was an awesome experience.
