When I was younger, I used to eat at a restaurant named Zen with my tennis coach and friends often. Was walking through town and found this restaurant of the same name, so I had to try it. Went here for lunch and I really enjoyed their lunch special, which is really filling. I think that the quality of the food could be a bit better, but for the price, it is really hard to beat. Food - 11/20 Atmosphere - 3/10 (Crowded interior with some exterior space) Service - 5/10 Total - 19/40
Ordered Chirashi takeout, the fish quality isn’t high, many pieces are stringy and have unpleasant fishy smell, not to degree that they’re inedible, but would not be ordering from them again. In addition ordered 2 pieces of uni sushi on the side, the rice in them are all clumped together, not a sign of quality.
Had some amazing food here with a large group of friends here before watching Black Panther on opening night! The sushi, udon, takoyaki and others are amazing!
