I should clarify that I've only eaten here once. On that day I had a chicken sandwich It was not bad but it certainly wasn't a $20 chicken sandwich. I would have thought 6 to $9 would be fair price for what I had. The service was fantastic and the atmosphere is fantastic but the food in my opinion was very mediocre. Again, I'd like to reiterate that I've only ever eaten there once. I could have just had a bad experience with food that one day. Still, your friend should be good every time you get it at a restaurant. So there's that.
We split a large order of 1/2 chicken and 6 ribs. The meat was great! Moist and flavorful. We had leftover chicken to take home. The sides need some work. We had the Thai beans which were really just snap peas cooked in the Thai sauce. Would have been better with less sauce and more of a carmalized coating. Also ordered a kids pasta and drink which was fine. Total bill was $45 before tax and tip. Would eat here again as the menu has some tasty looking options on it. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu, coloring sheet and crayons.
At on a Sunday afternoon when the restaurant wasn't very busy. The food was quite good and the presentation was also nice. I had the crawfish and penne pasta. Lots of crawfish but it needed pepper flakes or something to give it a bit more kick. The sirloin tips and the bacon cheeseburger were good as well. Service, (as many other reviewers have pointed out), was very slow. Our waiter took our drinks order then ghosted us. I finally saw him sipping a soda behind the bar and managed to get him to come and take out order. The food took a while to arrive but as I pointed out earlier, it was very tasty. Our waiter did stop by to inquire about how we like the food and to refill our waters. I think if this restaurant invested more time in training their wait staff to be more responsive, this place would be a winner.
