Zao Modern Asian Cafe

Employees at this Sandy location are not friendly at all. No greeting when you entered. At this Sandy location about about 6 pm on 10/25/22. I had to tell them what I wanted to order. Seemed very put out when we asked for additional items to be added. No thank you at payment. Female taking payments was also serving food . She wore same gloves to do both. I think this is a food service violation. Servings were much smaller than your other locations. Three females working front end. Dark haired shorter female front end worker was really not happy to be at work. She served us and was very robotic. Two other dark haired females were not friendly either. I will say the restaurant was very clean in the dining area. Sadly, we will not return to this location. Unhappy employees and small servings!

Oh my gosh! This was delicious! I got a steak bowl and it was so good! So fresh and so many flavors! You definitely need to try it if you haven’t!

I’ve heard good things about Zao and was excited to try it. I’m so happy to have more healthy options when it comes to eating out. I love that they gave me the option to have a veggie base in my bowl because I try to avoid rice and noodles. The steak in my bowl was really tender and yummy and I liked the teriyaki sauce. The fried onions and peanuts are an excellent addition. It was really yummy and left me feeling good when I was done eating.
