You have to get the biscuit and mushroom gravy! Seriously, such a cute quaint little spot that's part grocery part restaurant. I've only been for brunch but ended up staying for hours. It's so comfortable and friendly, very contrast to all the busy places around KC!

YST continues to provide wonderful food and atmosphere despite difficult circumstances. The weekly lunch menu changes based upon what is fresh, and never fails to impress. The coffee is top notch, as well as the espresso. Friendly staff and warm service greet you. The atmosphere is lovely, alive with plants and the iron working business whose wares you can see and purchase along with your BLT or quiche. They also offer weekly Wednesday dinners for 2, with creative creative varied menus each week. This place is truly a can't miss!

This place isn't even about the food, which is great! It's about the experience and environment and hospitality. It has a unique ambiance. It's kind of kitschy and cute but also calming and intriguing. There are plants everywhere, but you don't feel like you're in a jungle. It's almost more like just sitting in your own kitchen. Which for an introvert like me, was perfect. The staff was super kind and informative. My friend and I felt welcome and cared about. There was no rush or craziness, it was just about being there and enjoying it. Highly recommend! Features: Masks are preferred but not required.
