I love this ramen spot. The spicy black a ramen is my favorite Ramen dish! They sometimes have young servers that are trying their best but I’ve always had great service and they’re attentive and enthusiastic! Oh, try the Spam Musubi! It’s like spam sushi ???? and it’s delicious! They also have great spoof videos streaming that are hilarious and entertaining! Pets doing funny crazy entertaining things etc. I’m a regular and just love the place and all of its cool quirks!! And good food
So I called in an order for pick up. I paid unknowingly the person who took my card gave himself the max tip. When I called him out on it he offered to correct it but I felt bad cuz I was the only customer in the store and I got a sense he needed that money more than I. Regardless, it wasn’t cool so I won’t be coming back. There’s tastier spots close by anyway.
The food was terrible. The tonkatsu, was over fried and the quality of the meat was very poor. I ordered the steak bento box. It was extremely overcooked. Anyone who prepares steak knows that the meat needs to be a little pink or red to retain the juices unless "well done" is requested. My son ordered the teriyaki chicken. Again, the meat was so dry and dehydrated that it resembled jerky. I try to support local businesses in my community as much as possible and I really wanted to support this one because it seemed so promising. I think the ownership needs to refocus and purchase quality ingredients, and hire a competent cooking staff who has prior experience in cooking Japanese food. I hate being critical of new businesses but we spent slightly over a hundred dollars for dinner and most of it wound up in the garbage.
