Yoshi Sushi

Respectfully, I got here at 4:30 PM on a Wednesday. I was craving some sushi. I ordered number 11 and with tip I paid altogether around $30. I'm originally from queens and so I really like entering the restaurant and smelling I guess whoever smoking cigarettes it's really comforting for me. When you go in, it reminds you of a Flushing sushi joint. I do think that the sushi is not fresh. I ate as much as I could but I couldn't eat anymore because the salmon had fiberous tissue. This is not supposed to happen with any kind of fish or sushi or sashimi. It could be that they don't have a good supplier. I have no idea.The sushi tastes like fish which is an indicator of old food. I believe the fish was old. I was afraid to eat it. When I go out to eat I eat up most of my food but I couldn't this time period.I have years and years and years of experience having sushi and sashimi and I was scared. Definitely still one of my favorite sushi places in the capital region. There is nothing fancy about the location, the restaurant itself or even the presentation but the sashimi here will melt in your mouth. Prices are reasonable and I love the fact that you can bring your own drinks (be it a bottle of wine or a 6-pack of beer). Highly recommend giving it a try, even if it's take out!

Yoshi lunch special is a monthly to bimonthly event for me. He's always got a nice new surprise creation to love.
