Welcoming and nicely appointed, this traditional Korean spot hits many of the right notes. The service is warm and attentive and the food is delicious and reminiscent of the mother-land. The spicy beef tofu soup is a relatively new addition to the menu but combines a yukgejang and spicy tofu into one dish. Instead of glass noodles, the tofu is added. The broth had a rich and smoky flavor, not too spicy or hot (temperature). I had the dduk mandu, which was also very good, but mandu are a little bland. This location seemed to have more menu options than the Irvine location which was appreciated. Amid the many choices along the Garden Grove Blvd corridor, this is a solid spot for soups!
Yigah was great!!! Simple, short and easy to read menu. We ordered the spaghetti cheese katsu (part of their signature dish). It was really interesting... they melt the cheese in front ic you with a small hand torch. It's like eating a spaghetti with meatballs but so much better taste. Order came with some side dish. Gotta have extra side of their salad, the dressing was good. OMG. Just tried their ice cream bar...SOOOO GOOD!
First time trying Yigah and I can’t describe how much I love the bossam here. I swear it literally melted in my mouth. It’s not just like any ordinary boil pork belly. The squid bibibap is not the best but the taste is supreme. I also love the banchan here, it’s salty but I love the taste so bad. Definitely will come back again.
