If you want good food on Grant at decent prices in a more "authentic" venue than some of the surrounding tourist havens with queues, then head to this place. No frills and not much to look at. But a great place for a weekend lunch. UPDATED 2022: this place is still awesome. Pic is one of the special noodle plates. Humungous for $11.
Casual but authentic Cantonese spot. No AC inside so it could be hot. Ask to have the fan turned on. What makes this spot special is the house-made Cantonese-style pork belly and duck jerkies (for take out; uncooked). Take home and cut them up, put on top of the rice or sauté with vegetables. Yum!
Their porridge is wholesome and delicious! Duck and Pork are unmistakable but still so affordable, I mean those are extremely cheap but, you know, I don’t want to use the word “cheap” because the taste is definitely rich!
