When they say this place is nice, they’re not talking about the knives and plates. The staff is incredibly polite and welcoming. The falafel is amazing, light, crispy, flavorful. The house hot sauce is one part Tennessee, one part harissa, and it is honestly one of the best house made hot sauces I’ve had. They came out and gave us free baclava on our 13 dollar tab. Stop in, support these people. And be nice back to them, or I’ma find you. ;)
Absolutely delicious. Kinda on the pricey side but soo tasty. Gyro is tender and perfectly seasoned. Plant based sandwich was also delicious. The plant based sandwich is hardy, and very "meat-like". The french fries were cooked perfectly, very crispy/slightly crunchy, with a flavor coating of some sort of spice.
I've wanted to eat at this restaurant for some time and finally made it there. Coming from Chicago I really miss ethnic food and Yassin's didn't disappoint. I got a gyros that brought me back to going to Greek town in Chicago. The pita was very good. The gyro meat was exceptional and full of flavor. The tiziki sauce was a little more powerful than I'm used to but wasn't a deal breaker. It's location in downtown Knoxville is a little challenging. We could only buy a half hour on the meter and had to feed it twice to eat. There is a pay lot across the street as well. The staff was nice and service was good. It's an eccentric little spot that lifted my spirit and desire for city life. I'll be going back for falafel and chicken shawarma. I reccomend this place. Everyone should step outside the box and experience another culture in some little way like food.
