We've been to a Yard House many times, but this was my first time trying the Yard House at WestGate in Glendale, Arizona! Every Yard House I've been to looks different, but they atmosphere and the vibe feels good! The only thing I didn't like about our visit, it was very stuffy in the restaurant. I noticed other customers sweating and fanning themselves. I knew it wasn't just me. When our food that we ordered was brought to us, we were like, "DAAAAAAMN!!!" ???????? We forgot about the humidity. We ordered a Double-decker BLT, House Cheesesteak and Korean BBQ Cheesesteak, with Calamari, Parmesan Truffle Fries and Mac and Cheese. Our food was so good! And this is the reason why we will enjoy the Yard House again!
Happy Hour is the time to come! Great deals on many items and you can easily make it a meal. We started with an IPA flight to accompany the calamari which were lightly battered and tender, then moved on to the flavorful lettuce wraps (walnut, tofu, scallions, chicken, in peanut chili sauce), and ended with the cheeseburger sliders 'n fries. Eating outside was a delight, but don't do it without a walk around inside to eye the numerous taps to help you make your selection. And of course you can't go to Yardhouse without having their 1/2 yard of beer!
I had a really awesome time with friends. Our waitress was the best, because she was tentative to us even though the place was relatively busy. She was thoughtful to bring takeout containers without being requested and friendly and cool. Food was really tasty and hot. We ordered tomato bisque, spinach cheese dip, chicken Tenders, calamari, cheese pizza. Everything was fine.
