I have been coming here since the 90s, when they had more dim-sum offerings, like various rice rolls, and it was mainly a Chinese customer base. I used to go inside to get my dim-sum and it was always hectic, but fast. Now they offer only the most popular common dim-sum and you have to line up outside to get it. Inside is for diners only. When I crave dim-sum and it’s after normal dim-sum dine-in hours at my favorite dim-sum spots in Monterrey Park (usually ends at 2 or 3PM), this is the place that will satisfy my craving between 9AM & 9PM. The wait in line might be longer than it was in the 90s, but it’s still fast and cheap. Recommended dim sum items: Savory: - BBQ Pork steamed buns - Pork or Chicken Shumai - Fried Pork Balls (Ham Sui Gok) - Curry Beef or Chicken Pastry - Shrimp Dumplings (Har Gow) - Chicken Sticky Rice Sweet: - Sesame Balls - Jumbo Cream Bun - Coconut Pan - Egg Custard Parking isn’t the easiest. They do have a parking lot adjacent to the restaurant, but it’s tight a
I saw this on Instagram and had to make the drive to give it a try. First of all it's very hard to find parking. There are several parking lots that you will have to pay between $5-$7. The prices are good but I'd rather pay alittle more for better quality. The Bbq baled buns were probably the best thing I had their even tho I'd prefer the bbq buns at hong kong bakery in carson. The buns were fresh. The filling was extremely hot with a nice crisp to the outside of the bun. As for the service I would give it no stars if possible. The staff is not friendly at all and very rude. Parking: Good luck finding parking at the restaurant. Paid street parking is also hard to find. Expect to pay between $5-$7 for parking
They have these fresh coconut buns that are delicious, If only I bought more sheeeesh super cheap too. The line can get a bit long but it’s worth the wait forsure
