Ok when we walked up all I heard were seals barking. First time ever seeing a seal in my life. We get seated on the patio, and I’m in heaven. Watching the seals while dining. We tried the shrimp, the Cajun stuffed swordfish, the Australian lobster, and the steak. All of these we’re phenomenal and I cannot recommend them enough to you. This was the place I was looking for ever since I touched down in California. Do not miss this restaurant!
View of ocean was great but I didn't expect the food to be pretty good too. Watching people on the boat or seals swimming was extra fun.
Food: Awesome!! My wife and I shared the clam chowder which be both thought was amoung the best we've had. I had the cast iron scallops and my wife had the chicken teriyaki plate. They were both really good although my wife thought the chicken was a little overcooked. Service: Betsy was our waitress. She was very friendly and checked on us often. She also had help that came by pretty often as well. Atmosphere: Can't be beat. We had an outdoor table in the heart of the harbor. We saw a seal (or something similar) cruising by the bait barge, a boat that looked straight out of water world (minus Kevin Costner), and the Harbor Patrol stop and cite a set skier. There are a lot of great restaurants in Dana Point Harbor. You really can't miss with this one. Parking: This restaurant is at the very end of Golden Lantern. The parking lot is pretty full with about 6 disabled stalls. The nice thing is that it is a nice place to walk if you have to park a little far.
