Westchester Restaurant and Bar

I’ll get right to it, order a bottle of wine when you go to Westchester, most wines by the glass starts at 20.00. My husband had the Wagyu steak and I ordered the salmon my whole dish was too salty, the wagyu was tough, 79.00 tough. Vegetable overcooked. Just because you slap high prices on a menu does not make it affluent or good. The server checked on us 11 times, she was such a sweet and pretty young lady, however, needs to learn the art of being a server. #dissapointed Oh! The ice cream from Clementines was a delight! For those prices you should offer a Sommelier and better wine selection. The whole production of fine dining is to educate the diner and their experience should make them feel welcomed at your establishment. The hostess was not friendly at all. The decor dark and dreary. Those days of dark and dreary restaurants are outdated.

Excellent hospitality and service. Every member of the staff was dedicated to ensuring a great dining experience. The food was prepared, cooked, and presented perfectly. Warm and comforting for the evening. The meal (we had the pork chop and the duck. Loved the parsnips and greens!) would have been good on its on, but the way the staff took care of their customers made it exceptional. Atmosphere was friendly, cozy, and intimate. We sat in the middle of the restaurant and it didn’t fell awkward at all. Loved the interior color and design. Our only complaint, which isn’t a complaint but a personal preference, was the noise level. We were there at prime dinner time, the space is small and was very busy. We would just go back at an off peak hour.

Be careful. We got there at 6:15 on a Saturday night and were told the $44 cap steak was sold out?? We were happy when told about a $78 20oz bone in rib-eye chefs special. The steak came over cooked with the bone off and sliced into strips with a sauce on the side. Oddly the cap was not included. The owner confirmed that the cap was cut off. So they sold these steaks twice lol. The apps and deserts were amazing. Service was slow. They did nothing on the bill for the overcooked twice sold steak. I’d go back for drinks, apps,and deserts. Ambiance is cool. I’ll stick with the prime steakhouses at those prices though.
