First time trying Indonesian cuisine, I needed help with ordering and the Server was super helpful getting us acquainted with the dishes along with recommending some top items. We ended up ordering a few Entrees to share with the table. The food was unique but nothing too special in my honest opinion. Experience was great. All meat was 100% Halal and the restaurant had a dedicated prayer area as well! Very Muslim friendly restaurant.
Delicious and 98% authentic. Took 2% off for the spiciness. Been here 4 times and each time, it's a little less spicy. Had Gado Gado, Ayam Bakar Kecap and Tumis Terong Balado. While it was all delicious, I wish the spice level was more authentic. We asked for a side order of sambal and it was not spicy at all -- delicious but not spicy. The Balado sauce was also skimpy and not hot. Growing up eating Indonesian food, my mouth would be burning and was hoping for the same here. Several of the reviews mentioned that it was too spicy and I get that the owners had to make it less spicy to appeal to the general pop but maybe they can have a jar of sambal that was "Indonesian Hot" and serve it to those who request it kind of like Thai restaurants with the spice level of "Thai Hot". Maybe ask the patrons the level of spiciness they would like. I get that certain dishes cannot be made to a certain spice level e.g. rendang as it requires braising for several hours prior but many of the dishes can
My first time having Indonesian food, and it was amazing! The beef was slow-cooked and had some of the best flavor I’ve had. The soto ayam was free and so good! The gembira was great too. Overall an amazing experience and very kind staff! Give it a try!!
