It ‘s official! The magic of Walter’s home cooking is OVER. This is the third time we give Walter’s a chance to redeem themselves from the previous time. It is understandable the most restaurants are short handed. That explains the long waits and delays. Nevertheless, there is no excuse for poor food quality. They have neglected the food for a long time now. We had it. It came to the Emperor’s Salad, no flavor and the chicken was way overcooked. The blueberry pancake was NASTY; something I had never experience before. We’ve been coming to Walter’s for a long time now and always bring friends and family that visit us. This time it was embarrassing. WE ARE DONE!
Was not impressed at all! The food was very bland and flavorless. I ordered “The Usual” and added a buttermilk pancake, there was nothing buttermilk or fluffy about it, was not sweet, and frankly just tasted like dough. My wife ordered the chicken and waffles but substituted the waffles for French toast. Chicken was cooked perfectly however lacked any seasoning at all, I had to add salt to it. French Toast was decent but eggy. The sweet tea was absolutely on point????????And the hot coco was okay, staff however doesn’t know the difference between making the hot coco with water or milk. Had a hard time explaining this one for some reason. 2 stars because I did like the atmosphere, maybe I’ll return to try lunch but breakfast was a definite no go for me.
ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I have eaten here 4 times in 5 days; and honestly I'm angry I with myself for taking that day off hahaha. Every menu item I ordered was fantastic, the service was friendly and rapid and the wait time was never too long. Pictured are the Ole County & Southern Benedict
