The Waddle House was clean but the coffee left a long lasting weird taste as if so it was diluted with sink water.... took from the tastes of the food ordered.
Waffle House is typically predictable, however this one was cleaner than most, and the staff (all women!) were very engaged and performed their respective jobs swiftly and expertly. The woman in charge, clearly expert in all roles at the restaurant, kept things running, greeted every customer with more than just the cursory "hello" when they came in, checked on them during their meals, used two tables, and had time to oversee the training of an obviously new team member. Exceptional! Texas patty melt was as good as always. I'll be back!
OPEN 24 hours????!!!!! Love it! In Tucson for The Zombies concert and felt desert deprived. To my surprise Waffle House is open 24/7! Now the menu is fairly slim. Waffles waffles waffles! Not much else but that ok - had chocolate chip waffles and they satisfied the sweet tooth . Only thing lacking was cold maple syrup but still very yummy.
