Waffle House

Wife really wanted to try the Waffle House as 1st time customers. I was leery based on mixed reviews, but we decided to give it a shot anyway. Food was very good, we thought the portions and prices were very fair, and I was actually surprised at the limited menu choices, however it was a balanced variety and not at all overwhelming. MOST of the staff was great (including Josh and Nikki) except for our server (whom I will not publicly name). She had very poor table side manner and attempted to take our order before we even had the opportunity to view the menu. Despite her lack of customer service, we tried to be overly polite to her, yet she never smiled, she was short and almost bordering rude. I attempted my beverage order and she simply stated we don't have that, without offering until being prompted for alternative choices. She would drop our food at the table and immediately walk away without saying a word or inquiring if anything else was needed, twice she walked away from empty b

Hurricane Ian really walloped south west Florida, we have seen so many wind and flood damaged properties that its really mentally challenging to keep our spirits up, cue: Waffle House ! Nothing says comfort like strong hot coffee, some eggs perfectly over medium, crispy hash browns with cheese, add a perfectly crisp, fluffy, blueberry laden blueberry waffle with butter and syrup all served with a smile. Its straight forward honest food, at every day affordable prices. Theres just no other place that feels like warm hug for your belly.

I had an amazing experience here last night. The food was awesome, the employees were very nice and quick. Thank you a million guys???????? 10/10
