Von's Southern Diner

Von's Southern is the reason for my weight gain back lol. They give you such large portions. This is the best soul food restaurant I've ever tried.

Omg! The woman working the counter this evening is a joke. Vona is losing money big time because of this woman. Had mu order sitting right there, would not give it to me. Told me she'd give it to me when she got ready. After 20 mins, I canceled. She said ok and for me to have a nice day. Now that food is wasted. What a joke.

Completely disappointed... Ordered through doordash on 7/23 and it was a complete failure. Order was placed after 1pm but wasn't even confirmed by the restaurant until one hour later. Then we get a message that they were soldout ouf mac and cheese (at 2pm on a Saturday???) So we substituted rice and gravy. The doordasher called an hour later because the order wasn't prepared. We provided our order to her in detail as she informed the restaurant. I ordered beef stew, crispy fried okra, cabbage, and potato salad. My daughter ordered fried chicken, mac and cheese, yams, and collard greens. The only ordered side I received was cabbage. The restaurant gave me overcooked white rice, no gravy, and lima beans. The hot dogs were gray in color and the onions were incredibly loud. I ate the chili and bun. The stew beef looks like dog food... no onions, carrots, potatoes, gravy... just beef and water.
