If you are spending $130 (for two people) on the food and you are made to sit on a wobbly, small table, it's not good. The bruschetta appetizer was good and maybe the Italian ones, the bread is soft. I've tasted bruschetta before and the bread is a bit more toasted. It tasted good with goat cheese on it. Moving on, ordered from the special menu. The steak that I ordered was not medium done. It was more red than it should be. The sauce on the side was just butter with no real flavor to it. Overall I'd give the steak a 2.5 star. Also ordered seafood spaghetti (some Italian name, I don't remember) and it tasted much better than steak. I believe if you want to taste special expensive Italian food on a rare occasion, you can come here. Definitely not cheap.

This place was incredible. We were visiting Louisville for a weekend, and I have a hard time choosing a restaurant when I’m in a new town. I just want to make sure I’m making the most of my short trip and picking a place that’s local and worth the trip. Volare was fantastic start to finish. Just to begin the meal, the olive oil with garlic served with the bread was excellent. For our starter, we had the rotollini di melanzane, and I almost wanted to drink the marinara sauce, it was that good. My entree was the filetto di salmone and hers was the capellini di sorrento, and while my salmon was absolutely flawless, I tried her capellini and it was honestly life changing. The best meal I’ve ever had and I barely even ate any of it! We finished the night with the crème brûlée which was a perfect end to the night. I also had the Chef’s pick bourbon flight throughout my meal, which was excellent. We are also a big fan of Chopped, so loved that the executive chef Joshua Moore is a Chopped cham

Perfect restaurant for our 15th anniversary! Complimentary valet was a welcome luxury for a cold rainy night on Frankfort Ave. Romantic place, good music, excellent food, top notch service. Gary was wonderful.
