Vincent's

Been here many times in the past without issue but our last trip left a bad enough taste in our mouths to warrant a review. We already knew the parking lot is small and so is the restaurant, so I don't need to touch on those items. The food is good minus the small portion size for veal piccata with a side of Alfredo pasta which does not mix well at all. My old fashioned was half an orange with not much of anything else so I wouldn't order that drink. The biggest issue we had was the owner loudly berating an employee in the middle of a packed house for dinner because he sat the wrong party at a table. Take that to the kitchen, not in front of your guests. Multiple tables worth of diners turned to see what the commotion was. We wanted to order dessert as I was looking forward to cannoli. Before we finished our entrees, I saw the owner waving at our waitress to bring the check to our table likely so he could clear us out for other guests. I get it you're busy, but I'm a paying customer. M

It wasn't an awful experience, but I also wasn't blown away. I likely won't return again. Our bill was about $110 {before tip} and that was for three adults to eat {only one alcoholic beverage was purchased}. I called a day or two ahead and made reservations for a Saturday at 5:30 pm - the young lady who took my reservation over the phone was very polite and accommodating. We had to park next door at the business to the right of Vincent's. Our table was ready & waiting for us when we arrived. I had super high hopes about this place, but the overall food/experience just didn't live up to what I was expecting. Bummer. The whole experience was pretty mixed. The 'greeting' that we received upon entry was awkward, I'd call it less than professional or welcoming. Our server, Austin D, was very friendly & professional though - he did his job well. I've always loved this restaurant. The wait staff is exceptional. The atmosphere is cozy & friendly. The food is excellent. Absolutely love the fried eggplant. The red sauce here is ????. I had the veal piccata (sp?) with capers today. It was a little saltier than usual & so were the green beans & I still ate every bit. Oh! There is now patio seating out front of the Chastant location. It looks like a great spot for happy hour when the temps start to get more bearable
