Viet Huong Restaurant

Idk who they're trying to fool, but the plate I got smelled rotten. The com bo luc lac had a very spoiled smell where the staff didn't even want to smell it. And then I was told they've been serving it the whole day. I certainly hope not but if they did, that says a whole lot. Whoever is cooking the food needs to actually smell and taste the food prior to bringing it out to serve customers. This is FOOD, not some item to return and get a replacement on. People ingest what they are producing. That plate's beef was also not tender at all as it typically should be. I have a feeling they cheaped out somewhere, either meat was frozen too long, prepared without care, or it wasn't the correct cut. I like to support small businesses and all, but my visit showed a whole lot of negligence.

Was driving back home fro a long weekend in Palm Springs , when we got stuck on the freeway . We knew this area had a lot of Asian resurants,so I found this highly rated restaurant and gave it a try. The food was wonderful and very fresh. The owner was very nice and helpful. The only draw back was it closes by 8 pm.

Edit 2021: Wow! This place has had a great run in my book! (Being from Vegas and seeing restaurants become and go, bought and sold), I have to say that Viet Huong is definitely the best broth i have ever tasted! The sauce for their spring rolls is always well balanced between the peanut crunch, and paste as well. The combination pho never disappoints! Hadn't been here since 2016, it's 2019 and this place is still awesome! The rice paper rolls of which we've tried all of them over the years are just as good. So happy to come back and enjoy an awesome meal! FYI, we still go out of our way from Vegas to San Diego for this place.
