Cannot say enough about this restaurant. I had oysters for happy hour which were superb and fresh. Then a fabulously warm, toasted, topped with cheese bread comes out with marinara sauce comes out. It was perfect with my Buffal Empire cocktail. I was not rushed at all. Mine shrimp risotto came out at just the right time and it was nothing short of fabulous. What made the evening even better was my wait person, Stephanie. It is not easy to go out by yourself, but she put me at ease. I'd never heard of this restaurant, but I happened to be in Elmhurst. What a great piece of luck to find this gem. The restaurant is a smidgen pricey, but we'll worth it for the food and service. Parking: Is challenging
Wow. My delicious scallops in risotto tasted so fresh that, for a second, I thought I was sitting on an East Coast pier on the Atlantic. Fancy drinks were plentiful and staff was very attentive. Although my family snuck in without a reservation (my wife is persuasive), I would definitely recommend getting a reservation, especially on weekends. Note: Prepare to pay well for this feast, which shouldn't be surprising since this is in Elmhurst after all. Kid-friendliness: The kids menu is sparse, but if yours are like ours, they don't needs a big selection from which to choose!
Went on father's day with my wife and son. Great atmosphere. The menu is not overly impressive but I was blown away by the actual food. We started with cocktails: an old fashioned and negroni which were relaxing as we scanned the menu. For appetizers we had oysters, oyster Rockefeller, and grilled calamari. All were good; the creamy cheese Rockefeller was one of the best of all time. For entrees I had the 24oz prime rib special (rare) with charred brussel sprouts and my son scored big with the 22oz bone-in aged strip steak with mashed potatoes. Absolutely outstanding cuts of meat cooked to perfection. We will be back.
