I’m not sure if it was when the server threw the chef under the bus by saying “I wouldn’t order that, his recipe is off” when going over menu items or when she condescended to my wife saying “well, we have some lower priced wine, if that’s what you’re worried about” but overall, I learned a $500 lesson - this place is dysfunctional. Service was exquisitely rough (some people just aren’t cut out for it Holly) save the water staff and one gentlemen who went above an beyond. This place definitely is a throwback to how Austin could act when there weren’t many choices on dinner. Now that there are, the only thing it has going for it is the location. Also, every dessert was terrible. So even if she was right about the Chef, you don’t torpedo him to a table of customers.

Cozy restaurant with good Italian food. I'm addicted to their braised octopus appetizer. I also like that we can order pasta in half portions. 2 people can actually try a wide variery of pastas. The tiramisu was not the best though. Too sweet and too little cream. Artipasta makes much better tiramisu. Still 5 stars because the service here is amazing. The staff was so attentive, very contrasting to another Italian place (Olive&June) we've been to recently.

I would not go there with a client or for a date • Ambience ○ Nice and dark ○ But music was confusing - it's not trying to be an italian place - confusing vibe • Service ○ Hurried, rushed - no feel of a high end place compared to the prices • So so many capers in every dish - I mean really - get over all that over use • Many of the appetizers were over the top salty and then the extra salt from the Capers - e.g. the Pesce Crudo and the Salad in the Burrata plate • Loved ○ Wagyu Carpaccio • Liked ○ Papardalle Bolognese - *** this was good • Avoid ○ Never had Burrata so hard, non-fresh - strange all around - awful salt amount in the greens ○ Pesce Crudo - overpowering saltiness - the chili oil touch was good
