Vaughan's Public House

Great experience here! We watched Alabama lose to Tennessee here. The Shepherd's Pie is big and delicious. I got the buffalo chicken wrap, which was also tasty. My only complaint was that the fries were lukewarm when the food came out - everything else was great though. I got a kolsch (can't remember which one) and my wife got a nice cider. Great pub! One last thing, don't anticipate taking a #2 in the downstairs men's bathroom, per the picture lol

Super disappointed in this establishment. I love to go to Irish places in the States, but I will not be returning here. The owner was incredibly rude and homophobic, he was miserable and made us completely uncomfortable. Totally not in tune with the Irish spirit.

I had a pleasent experience here. I ordered the Shepard’s Pie, Guinness Stew, and a Guinness Brownie. I have to admire the food quality, the taste of the food was homemade and savory, and had a unique pub flavor to it. Vaughan’s is definitely going down as one of the best pubs in the Hartford area, if not one of the best in the state.
