Vaso

Traveled to Columbus for a work event and stayed at the Marriott and Vaso is in the hotel. We had a party of 8 people and unfortunately the music in the dining room is so loud that it was impossible to hear conversations from across the table. This might not be a issue if you don't have a large group. The food was ok. I had the scallops which would have been good if they didn't have peanuts crushed on top of them. Also I was very excited to try the miso deviled eggs. Don't do it. They were not good and the texture was similar to deviled eggs that have sat out all day at the family gathering.. I feel like they are advertising as a high end resataraunt with a pub style atmosphere.

I liked most of the food. The Mexican corn and deviled eggs were tasty. The lamb was not that good. It was tough and a bit too spicy, the sauce didn't help at all. Really liked the drink!

I enjoyed the food and the service here. The ambiance is beautiful on the rooftop. Ashley was a great server and very attentive. The angry crab cakes were ok. They were supposed to be spicy but I think the only spice was from the pepper and not in the crab cake itself. The Brussels sprouts salad was a huge portion and delicious. It was really nice dinner and the perfect mood for my first night ever in Ohio.
