Vasijas Mexican Restaurant

I was visiting from out of town and I stumbled on Vasijas. I'm so glad I did. The tacos were incredible and very well priced. But what made it, was how friendly the folks who own the place are. The woman working there made me feel so welcome in her community and was incredibly helpful and attentive. This is a great family-owned business, with an exceptional staff and equally as exceptional food. I can't wait to return and try some other things from their extensive menu.

I came to this little restaurant around 3pm it wasn’t busy. I didn’t ask for the menu because I knew I wanted enchiladas and someone had already recommended them to me before. But it was a mistake !!!! Because I didn’t see the menu so I didn’t see the price and I didn’t ask for prices until it was too late. One order or red cheese enchiladas was $17.00 !!! Only 3 enchiladas a bit beans and a bit of rice $17.00 dollars !! And one order or green enchiladas with chicken was $18.00 … so yeah, I will always check the price first before ordering. I mean I wouldn’t mind to pay reasonable prices for a reasonable amount of food. The flavor was ok, the green enchiladas were dry they needed more sauce. So I would suggest they change from $ on their profile to this $$ !! Or this $$$ !!! First time there, but for the price I know I won’t be coming back. And for flavor they are not that amazing as some reviews say. And yeah, I learned my lesson … so let’s not forget to ask for prices before ordering

One of my favorite spots! Each combo has a great portion. I always order the enchiladas rojas con queso, they are made with home made tortillas. My husband always orders the milanesa de res. We love coming for the caldo de res when we are under the weather, it always satisfies. It’s a family ran restaurant ,they are the sweetest, and have the best service.
