My family visited Unison on a Thursday evening and it wasn't too busy. They brought out water, took our order and brought out our food pretty quickly. The crispy pork belly and papaya salad I ordered was pretty good. Good portions.
So disappointing! We’ve order 3x from this place and all 3 times have been a fail. The first dish was the pork belly dish and it was nothing but fat; we couldn’t eat it and it ended up in trash. The intestine dish was soaked up in sauce and that was trash. The pho we ordered was so nasty you could taste the sink water used. The combo drunken noodles dish shown here was a waste of money. The sauce was overpowering and tasted like they poured nothing in it but brown sauce and sugar. The nam ribs shown here cost $14 and they are burnt and very dry. I will no longer be supporting this place. 3 strikes!
Stopped by on a Sunday, 3pm. Half full. Nice clean decor, spacious/tables set reasonably apart. Seated immediately and received drinks within 5 mins. Ordered following... Clear Shrimp Tom Yum- not sour enough, addition of pineapple odd/not a fan, generous portion of broth and shrimp but meat was chewy/rubbery. Papaya Salad (lao style): generous portion but too heavy on the tamarind sauce. Asked for "extra spicy", got maybe 4/10 heat scale. too bad dry peppers used and not fresh but may have not helped much as tamarind flavor overwhelming. Fried Chicken Wings: came out looking great with nice yellow color. Crispy when hot but lost its crunch soon afterwards. Took home and air fried but didn't help much. Pepper dip that came had waaaay too much fish sauce, not enough pepper nor lime. Cheap dip that reminds me of those from Hmong Village food vendors. Chef Eggrolls: love the spring roll wrapper style. decent portion and very crunchy, remained so even after cooling down. however, very odd
