had take-away fried ???????? w/???? & coleslaw for under $6 cooked by attentive and welcoming small business owner. enjoyed outside seating with mountain views in a friendly neighborhood. halal options and tons of candy options (for young visitors from the mosque next door!?) building also serves as community center &c. shop local, Altadena!

The lady Regina is so RUDE to the children. She don't let them use the restroom nor the phone if the where waiting on there ride. My business are my children business will not be back there. She's a very RUDE lady. I've heard it before from other kids but didn't believe it til she told my son he had to go, he was in her way inside her office & he couldn't use the phone. These are kids that she's very RUDE to.

UEDF was in a kind of blind spot for us. We've been past it hundreds of times and suddenly the veil was lifted and we could see it. A spot so interesting we had to give it a try. Found a wonderfully authentic place run by an authentic gentleman. Got a 2 piece fish and chips, it was great! I've never been a coleslaw person, and not really a raisin person, but their raisins mixed in brought a sweetness that gave me a surprising balance that I'll be coming back for! He strongly recommended their bean pie, and sure enough it was delicious. If you've not had a preservative free bean pie, don't miss the rare opportunity.
