Wow what an awesome experience! We absolutely loved everything about this restaurant! Tim did an amazing job taking care of us, introducing us to the menu, and explaining everything about the restaurant. All the food was so amazing from the fried green tomatoes to the fried chicken and prawn and grits. Prawn and grits were the winner. Lord have mercy that cornbread though!!!
First time eating at Twisted Soul. Pretty good drinks. The appetizers salmon spring rolls and fried green tomatoes were very good. The main entrees were just ok. The fried chicken my friend had seemed like (if they brine the chicken) it was too salty. The combinations or twist on the various soul food components didn’t mesh well with me or my other guest. The steak was well seasoned but just wasn’t overwhelmed with the food experience. The salmon and poached egg was ok. Great customer and friendly servers and the bartender was great.
Excellent customer service but this is not your typical soul food restaurant. It is sould food with a twist, thus the name twisted soul. So it took a few minutes for my tastebuds to adjust to the flavors which I assume was due to the types of seasoning that they used. It is very different and unusual. All of the food was good and the fried chicken was really good. They actually give you four pieces. I must applaud them for the presentation of the food. I would like to return to try other dishes.
